Our second grade writers celebrated this past Thursday by sharing with Mrs. Greenlund’s class all of the “craft” that they are using in their stories.   We also noticed what our classmates were doing in their stories.   The children have strived to add many “crafts” into their personal narratives;   strong lead (talking, sound effect or snapshot), details, adjectives, adverbs, similes, show not tell, dialogue and story ending.    They have all grown so much as writers!  I am beyond proud of all of their hard work this unit!  We will begin a study of non fiction writing after the holiday break.
