We had a great day today! The weather was beautiful and we learned so much about how lake water is filtered into drinking water. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you…. to all the parents who helped with groups and came out to have some learning fun with us. Our classroom family is simply amazing!

Hi Families,

Here are few dates to mark on your calendars:

Friday May 11 – Last day for READING COUNTS. Students who meet their goal, will earn a pizza lunch with me. If students double their goal, they will also earn an ice cream party. For students that triple their goal, a special rollerskating outing will be planned. Keep reading!!!

Monday May 14 – Field Trip to Pell Greenhouses… WOOHOO!!! Make sure to pack a paper/cold lunch.

Thursday May 17, 12:45- 1:30 – “JUST WRITE” Celebration…. We would love to have a special visitor for each student to come and join us on this day. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or special friends are invited to share in a time of celebrating our writers.

Field Trip Tomorrow!

Hi Families,

Tomorrow is the big day! Make sure your child has a SACK lunch and is dressed for the weather as we will be outside for much of the day. For those of you that will be following us or are a chaperone, we will be leaving school around 9:00 and returning to school at 2:00. If you are meeting us at the orchard, we should be arriving around 9:40ish.

Get a good night’s rest, we have lots of fun to look forward to :)!

Field Trip Pictures!!!

Many thanks go out to the moms, dad and grandpa who accompanied us on our field trip today. Thankfully we only received a few sprinkles and were able to explore outdoors. We learned about various plants, we made landforms in the sand and saw many “stuffed” animals. We received A LOT of information and listened to many tidbits of knowledge, in fact some children were so exhausted they doozed off on the bus ( pictures to come soon!) :).
