Today we wrapped up our unit on opinion writing by trying to persuade our friends.  We learned so many things about how to be a persuasive writer including:  using a catchy lead,  sharing our opinion and reasons why we feel that way,  using linking words (because, and, another, also),  using quotes,  including our recommendations and ending our pieces in a STRONG way by restating our opinions.

Each child also wrote a review on their favorite pizza places around town, hoping you would be convinced to check it out too.  They recorded themselves on the ipad  and I will be emailing the videos to you this weekend… SO CUTE!    Today we celebrated together by playing Gaga Ball!.  I am so proud of our little persuasive writers!
